Personal data we process
We only process personal data that you provide to us yourself:
- When you request a quote: your e-mail address, first and last name, country and your question.
- When you subscribe to our newsletter: your e-mail address, name and, if provided, your company name.
- When you visit our website: technical data such as your IP address and browser type, which our web server records in its log files.
We do not collect personal data through social media plugins.
Why we process personal data, and on what basis
- To answer your quote request and, if you wish, to enter into and carry out an agreement with you (performance of a contract).
- To send you our newsletter about machines for sale (your consent).
- To meet our legal obligations, for example keeping our financial records (legal obligation).
- To protect our forms against spam and abuse (legitimate interest).
Newsletter
We only send our newsletter to people who signed up for it themselves, either on this website or on the previous McTrade website. Each newsletter contains a link to unsubscribe; you can also unsubscribe by sending an e-mail to info@mctrade.nl. You can withdraw your consent at any time; this does not affect mailings sent before.
To improve our newsletter we measure whether a newsletter is opened and which links are clicked. These statistics are linked to your e-mail address and are only used by us.
Who receives your data
Your request is handled by our sales team. Our sales administration and IT systems are provided by an affiliated company in the Netherlands, which processes data only on our behalf.
We also use these service providers, which process data on our behalf:
- Mailgun (Sinch) sends our newsletter and records opens, clicks, bounces and unsubscribes. We use Mailgun's EU region.
- Google reCAPTCHA protects our quote form against spam. Google may process data, such as your IP address and information about your browser, outside the European Union.
Our website and database run on servers in the Netherlands. We do not sell your data, and we only share it with others when this is needed to carry out an agreement with you or when the law requires it.
Cookies
Our website itself only uses functional cookies that are needed for the website to work, such as a session cookie. On the quote page, Google reCAPTCHA places cookies to tell people from automated programs.
How long we keep your data
- Quote requests and customer data: as long as needed to handle your request, and for our financial records the legal retention period of 7 years.
- Newsletter data: until you unsubscribe.
- Web server log files: for a limited period, only for security and troubleshooting.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to object to its processing, to withdraw your consent and to receive your data in a computer file (data portability). Send your request to info@mctrade.nl. We will respond as soon as possible and within four weeks.
You also have the right to file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
Automated decision-making
We do not take decisions about you based solely on automated processing.
Children
Our website is not intended for people under the age of 16. If you believe we have collected data about a minor without parental consent, please contact us and we will delete it.
How we protect your data
We take appropriate measures to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorized access, unwanted disclosure and unauthorized changes. If you think your data is not properly secured, or there are signs of misuse, please contact us at info@mctrade.nl.
